I am a lover of paint and the painted surface. For more than 30 years I have peeled the dried acrylic paint from artist palettes and transformed it into unique wearable art. That is the very short and condensed story of Parts of Art.
Now I am offering several fun and innovative workshops right in my peaceful country studio, so that you can take part in the fun!
Art Night unofficially began with a Friday night routine in our home/studio. It always included at least one bottle of wine, some yummy snacks, and the dedicating of the evening hours to the making of our art. So, in honor of a well loved tradition, I now present:
ART NIGHT!!!!
What: In one fun evening we will make wearable, flammable, and/or and giftable art from all kinds of stuff from my studio. Materials include acrylic paint films, bits of canvas, strips of leather, various handmade papers, texturing materials, and beads made from twigs, clay and glass.
It promises to be a fun and productive evening crafted with you in mind!
There is no end to the possibilities that this session will bring to your art making repertoire.
No previous experience is required.
All materials are supplied
Wine and snacks are provided, but you are welcome to bring your own and share!
Where: Art Night will take place in my inspiring and peaceful country art studio outside Alexandria, IN
When: Friday, November 6th, 7-9 PM
Parts of Art started out as an answer to prayer, and has grown and evolved since then. Now I am ready to share more.
For many years my husband and I lived and worked in Florida, but five years ago moved back to Indiana and reclaimed his boyhood home in rural Indiana.
Part of the charm of the reclaimed country home is the studio built into one of the barns. This is where we are presently pursuing our love for making art.
Those who come to my workshops will have the benefit of not only sharing my creative workspace, but also the combined knowledge, resources, and ridiculous stories I have gained along the way.
It’ll be a memorable and productive time!
